During our sneak peek at PAYDAY 3, it was confirmed that the game would debut with a lineup of 8 heists, which is a decline from its predecessor’s initial 12. Almir Listo, the Brand Director and Head of Community, commented, “While PAYDAY 2 came with 12 heists, they were somewhat more condensed compared to the original six in PAYDAY: The Heist.”
Furthermore, it was unveiled that the game’s life would extend beyond its launch, with an 18-month post-launch content roadmap. The specifics of this plan remain under wraps for now, so fans will need to stay tuned as the release date draws nearer.
Of the initial batch of heists, all are set in the bustling landscape of New York. We got a glimpse of two scenarios: one unfolding in a Downtown NYC bank, while the other took place in an Art Gallery nestled under the Brooklyn Bridge.
Gamescom 2023 offered a teaser for another heist, hinting at a collaboration with rapper Ice-T. This mission sends the crew to a location densely packed with shipping containers.
Though the details of subsequent additions are scant, Starbreeze hinted at broadening horizons, with heists set beyond New York in various global locales.
